Hamilton Klondike Camp

02/03/2017 - 12:00am - 02/05/2017 - 12:00am
Klondike is on! Mark it on your calendars - February 3-5, 2017 at Mount Nemo Scout Camp.

After a slight delay we are now ready to accept registrations for the annual Klondike Winter Skills Camp at Mount Nemo Scout Camp.  The cost for this camp will be $15/participant (youth and adult), this will cover camp fees and a brand new crest!  If you are a little unsure about winter camping (after all it does take a particular kind of crazy to enjoy sleeping outside in sub-zero temperatures) we do have a day rate of only $10/participant for any who just want to come out for Saturday.

All Troops will be expected to come self contained, which will include preparing lunch on the trail during Saturday events. As well, each patrol should have a sled or toboggan to carry their gear while going around to the events.

Campsites will primarily be in Harvester Field but we will have access to some new Patrol sites which will be available in the Pines and the treed area between Apple Day Lodge & the parking lot. Please let us know if you would like to reserve one of those sites.  While Troops will be expected to be prepared to sleep outside we will have the use of two buildings for inclement weather or emergency warming.

This year we will be focusing our events around the different requirements of the new Winter Skills OAS; all Troops will be provided a list of which OAS requirements have been completed at the end of the weekend.
;
We do have many events planned but are always open to other ideas (and could also use a few Scouters to help run the events), if you have an event that you would like to run then please contact us.

Please send all registration info, or general questions to campnemo.klondike@gmail.com

We look forward to seeing you in February.
